Laboratory | Instrumentation | Sample Delivery

Samples can be sent directly to our laboratory in Ukraine or delivered to our partner in Poland, Granumtest, which serves as a European sample collection point. Once the samples reach the laboratory, we perform the requested analyses and send the results electronically and, upon request, as a paper document.

Shipping address in Ukraine: Nova Poshta Branch No. 2, Vynnyky.

European sample collection point (Poland):
DHL parcel locker, ul. Hubala 11, 45-266 Opole
Granumtest / Maryna Yasavieieva
Phone: +48 575 458 149
Parcel locker ID: 4597686

The shipment may be addressed either to Maryna Yasavieieva personally or to Granumtest. The cost of forwarding the samples from the collection point to the laboratory will be added to the analysis price.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

We have answered the most common questions regarding our analytical processes to ensure complete clarity and transparency.

Which analytical methods do you employ?

We employ advanced chromatographic methods (including HPLC). This precise wet-chemistry approach delivers definitive, quantitative results. We intentionally avoid near-infrared (NIR) express analysers, as they only provide rough, indicative estimates. Read more in our article.

Which specific amino acids do you determine, and in what sample matrices?

We perform comprehensive profiling of all 18 proteinogenic amino acids that comprise protein structures. Our analyses are performed on a wide variety of matrices, including amino acid mixtures, premixes, raw vegetable materials, protein-vitamin-mineral supplements (PVMS), compound feeds, and any individual raw material components.

What are the turnaround times for analytical testing?

For pure substances, liquid mixtures, or high-concentration premixes, the turnaround is 1–2 working days. For finished compound feeds, it typically takes 5–6 working days. Complex feed matrices require a complete acid hydrolysis step to liberate protein-bound amino acids, which requires additional time to guarantee absolute accuracy.

What other analytical testing services does your laboratory offer?

Beyond complete amino acid profiling, we offer analysis for vitamins, micro- and macro-elements, and classic wet-chemistry physico-chemical parameters (moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude fibre, ash, etc.). These core nutritional markers are critical for optimizing livestock formulation, quality control, and verifying food labelling requirements.

Can you travel to our facility/farm to perform sample collection?

Representative sampling is vital. Our blog contains a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to help you perform representative sampling autonomously and package the samples securely for shipment. You are also welcome to call us for direct technical advice.

Do you provide technical consultations on amino acid profiles?

Yes. We provide extensive technical support regarding the interpretation and application of your analytical reports. Expert consultations regarding completed analyses are provided free of charge.

Is it possible to visit your laboratory facility?

Absolutely. We welcome you to visit us in Lviv. We will be pleased to arrange a guided tour of our facilities. We believe transparency builds confidence in our quality standards. Please notify us 2–3 days in advance of your planned visit so we can dedicate time to host you.

Are you a subsidiary or a division of another commercial enterprise?

We are an entirely independent, third-party laboratory. This independence guarantees complete impartiality, objectivity, and confidentiality, as we are not affiliated with any manufacturer of animal feeds, premixes, or feed supplements.

Do you outsource tests or send samples abroad?

No. All analytical testing is executed in-house at our state-of-the-art facility in Lviv. By eliminating outsourcing and international shipping, we offer significantly more competitive pricing and faster turnaround times than foreign laboratories.

Is the accuracy of your local analyses comparable to leading international laboratories?

Our accuracy is fully equivalent to leading international standards. We rigorously verify our performance by participating in global interlaboratory proficiency tests (such as BIPEA). Furthermore, we routinely run Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) and in-house control samples (including piglet feed, broiler feed, soybean meal, wheat, premixes, and casein) with certified amino acid concentrations to calibrate and validate every analytical batch.

Is there a possibility of errors in the analytical results?

While no laboratory can claim absolute infallibility, we mitigate the risk of error to the absolute minimum. We implement robust quality control protocols, including double-sample extraction, duplicate testing of boundary values, and supervisor sign-offs on all reports.

What sample size is required for testing?

For amino acid profiling coupled with one or two physico-chemical parameters, a representative sample of 0.5 kg is sufficient. If the request includes comprehensive vitamin and mineral assays, we require a minimum sample weight of 1.0 kg.
